Geography students will develop an understanding of physical and natural processes as well as the effect of human interaction on the physical world. It will allow students to appreciate how places, environments change and how human populations respond to changes in the natural world. Geography touches on sociology, economics and biology and presents these subjects from a different perspective. It teaches students to understand the the management and conservation of natural resources and the basis on which decisions are made about this.
Geography is considered a facilitating subject by the Russell Group of universities and can be an excellent companion to both science and humanities disciplines.
