On these pages you will find information about our Fees, a link to download our Prospectus, notice of what Bursaries and Scholarships we offer for financial assistance, and our online form to Apply for a place at Acorn House.
Admission to Acorn House is competitive, and we recommend that you aim to apply in March, six months before the beginning of the new academic year.
All prospective students are interviewed, usually with their parents, by the Principal. Although details of previous school reports and examination results may be considered, a student is not necessarily accepted for GCSE courses according to academic criteria alone. At Acorn House, we value eagerness to learn and willingness to work hard. Candidates who are successful will be able to demonstrate these qualities. After discussing possible courses, an offer of a place is made if the student’s aims appear to be compatible with those of the College.
To apply for an A Level course, it will be necessary to have achieved grades that meet our admissions criteria. Prospective students can contact us directly for guidance as to whether they have a suitable academic record, and we will always offer advice regarding course choices.
Acorn House is committed to equal opportunities and a transparent and fair admissions policy. We will always endeavour to answer any queries you may have about the admissions process.
